I am trying to write a post about something that happened in my past. It wasn't a "something," so much as it was a "someone." He was born Dec. 28, 1977. He died Sunday, December 9, 2001, in Champaign, Illinois. He was the oldest son of James and Barbara, older brother to Stephen. Scholar, mystic and husband to me. A man so duplicitious in nature that he deserves two spellings of his name: Michael / Mikal.

I dream about him occasionally.
